The Oktoberfest Season is Upon Us

It’s that time of year again…

oktoberfestThe Oktoberfest tradition started in Munich, Germany in 1810 to celebrate the October 12th marriage of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig to the Saxon-Hildburghausen Princess Therese. Citizens were invited to join in the festivities which were held over five days on the fields in front of the city gates…

…and the tradition continues!

Beginning this weekend, here are some of the area’s most popular Oktoberfest celebrations:

Fremont Oktoberfest (Sept 22-24)
Leavenworth Oktoberfest (Sept 29-Oct 14)
Everett Sausage Festival (Sept 29-Oct 1)
Bier on the Pier (Oct 6-7)

And, for those who love food trucks, there’s Trucktoberfest in Seattle on Nov 18-19. A great way to end the Oktoberfest season.

Be safe and have fun!
